Minnie works for OSF Hospital. She helps manage patient care needs, such as watching them to make sure patients are safe during their stay. Her care and compassion for others is very evident. She raised her two children (a son & daughter who live in Peoria) and has previously been a foster parent. She was living with her son and his three children right before she got her Habitat Home. She has been working hard to regain financial stability. Minnie enjoys helping the community and her passion for fostering comes from wanting to help make sure kids have a home to stay when needed. She has fostered many children over the years and still keeps in contact with many of them. Minnie accepted any child she was able to, but has a soft spot to take in teenagers, who are typically the ones who are the most difficult to place. She is beyond excited that this home will allow her to reinstate her license and she will be able to resume fostering again.
