As the executive director of Habitat for Humanity, it is my role to oversee this incredible organization that changes lives every day. I have been at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Peoria Area for over 13 years. Since this time, we have built 5 new Veteran Builds and 2 Women Builds along with many new homes in Morton, Washington, East Peoria, Elmwood and Peoria. We have been a major part of the neighborhood revitalization on the East Bluff, the Near North Side of Peoria and we are headed to the South Side of Peoria with a 500k grant to build affordable homes. We have a "Carpenter's Club" that has updated and made repairs on over 100 homes in our community for seniors and Veterans.

Our family education program is going strong as we educate home owners in financial literacy as well as all the details of home ownership. This program "HOPE" equips homeowners with a solid foundation to begin their homeownership success.

We are proud to have such a generous group of volunteers that give their time and talent to help us reach our goals. Each new home represents a family that is moving forward from poverty housing to affordable housing. This is the life changing system of Habitat for Humanity that can be found no where else. We partner with our families to make home ownership a success.

We are also so blessed to have the sponsorship and support from many local businesses. It is an honor to work with these companies to build with them side by side to leave a legacy in the community. Habitat is also a part of the Heart of Illinois United Way. This partnership allows us to work with other agencies to help families find strength, stability, self reliance and shelter.

"Working for Habitat is what I call a dream job. You do work that you enjoy, with people you like, knowing that you make a difference. What job is better than that?"
