This role reports to the Family Services Director. Homeowners participate in 12 classes on various topics relating to homeownership before closing on their homes. Topics include: budgeting, credit reports, mortgages, being a good neighbor, code enforcement, home maintenance, landscaping, fire safety, property insurance, community resources, effective parenting/nutrition, decluttering, and wills. These classes prepare our homeowners to be the most successful in their new home.
Teachers of these classes commit to one class each year on one topic. The length of the class or presentation depends on the topic. Teachers who are local and have knowledge or experience in the topic area are always needed. If you are interested in volunteering as a teacher, please Contact Us.
