2021
backHello, my name is Robin Bryant. I am a 34-year-old, single, mother of two daughters. I was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois on the South Side of town. I am very proud to say that I am a successful product of the South Side of Peoria, where I attended all South Side schools and where my children now do the same. My children are Ariahna (16) and Kennidi (14). They both attend Manual High School, where one is a freshman and the other is a junior. They are active in sports and school activies, so it's safe to say that they keep me busy, but I enjoy every moment of it. I currently hold the position of School Bus Trainer for the Peoria Public School's Transportation Department. I have been employed with Peoria Public Schools for a long time and plan on being there for many more years to come. I love dealing with the community and helping out whenever I can do so.
I first found out about the Habitat program through a close friend, who now has a Habitat home of her own. Habitat has an amazing program and I am grateful to be selected to become a part of such an amazing program. This opportunity means so much to me not only because it's a new house, but it will be a HOME for my children. Yes, we have a place to live at this moment, but the thought of having a place that we can call our own home is so overwhelming to my heart. We have lived in apartments, houses, with others, and so on, but now we have the chance to build our own home. I have helped other in the program build their own homes and I enjoy it so much, so I can only imagine the feelings I will have when it is my turn to start my house. I want to thank God for blessing me with this chance to make a better way for me and my children. I also want to thank the entire Habitat program for a chance at a new beginning. My motto has always been "Teamwork Makes the Dream Work". We as a family are ready and will to be apart of this team!
