My name is Ricco Johnson. I am a 34-year-old single father of 3 children. My oldest child is a 14-year-old boy, Desmond Johnson, the middle child is a 12-year-old boy, Darius Johnson and last child is a 11-year-old girl, Deriona Johnson.
I was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois by my Mother, Kimberly Johnson and my beloved, late Grandmother Frances Johnson. Once I became a father, I strived to provide the best of everything for my family (my children) by being a determined young man and a hard worker. I graduated from Peoria High School in 2004 and since then have attended MTI where I obtained a Universal Certificate for HVAC-Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning. I also attended ICC and received a certificate for CNC Machinist-Computer Numeric Controlled Equipment. I currently am employed as a Mail Carrier for the United State Postal Service. I have been with the USPS for over 3 1/2 years.
My children and I are extremely grateful for being granted the opportunity of being a recipient in the homeownership program through Habitat for Humanity Greater Peoria. I enjoy the work that I have been allowed to do with helping build at the various location sites because it has increased my knowledge of the process from start to finish. Not only has the hands-on portion been fulfilling to me, but the help and guidance that I have received from the Habitat for Humanity employees and volunteers is rewarding and an experience that will be everlasting.back
