There are many ways for you to help us provide safe and affordable housing for our hardworking and deserving Habitat Families. Habitat for Humanity Greater Peoria Area depends on the generosity of individuals, churches, corporations, and local organizations to provide the financial support and the materials needed to build affordable homes for families in need of a place to call home.
Gifts of construction materials and/or services can be given to build Habitat houses. Habitat also accepts gently used appliances and other surplus construction items which are sold at the ReStore to finance Habitat houses.
Although we do much of our work with volunteers, we still need licensed professionals to give of their time and expertise:
- Structural engineers
- Dry wall experts
- Concrete foundation & flatwork contractors
- Stone masons
- Landscape and sprinkler system contractors.
If you or your business would like to make an In-kind Donation, please contact our Community Relations and Development Director, Lisa, at (309) 676-6729×102 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Land is often the most difficult thing for us to obtain. Because of the economic downturn there are many available lots in our area, but few in neighborhoods where first-time-homebuyer homes are being built. Land donated to us or sold to Habitat at a discount is especially needed.
If you would like more information on donating land, please contact our Executive Director, Lea Anne, at (309) 676-6729×6 or email@example.com.
